Want To Get the Perfect Level Shot For Your Food Pic? Here’s Our #1 iPhone Shooting Secret For Flat Lays

Want to know the secret to getting the perfect level shot for flat lay food photos on your iPhone? Check out the settings you need to use below!

STEP 1: TURN ON GRID

We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: the grid setting is the best thing you can use to immediately upgrade your iPhone photos and videos! Simply turn it on in your camera settings, and you can now use the lines on your screen to line up all your food bits and bobs perfectly. It’s great for the rule of thirds, creating leading lines in your image, and so many other compositional techniques!

STEP 2: LINE UP YELLOW AND WHITE PLUS SIGNS

When you position your phone in a top-down shot, you will notice that two small plus signs appear in the center of your screen. When you perfectly align the yellow and white plus signs, your phone is level and ready for the perfect flatlay shot!
