Jikoni recipes are cooked up within our community

Submit your recipe via email to community@jikoni.co

All recipe submissions must include the following 2 assets:

  1. Completed recipe template, below
  2. Take photos of the final dish & key recipe steps, if possible (mobile pics are fine)

Approved community-submitted recipes will be featured in our #MyJikoni series that is professionally shot by our team, so your recipe will be accompanied by a high-quality editorial photograph or video.

When the recipe is shared we will give you author credit and tag you in social media posts.

Please note that our test kitchen may make minor changes to the recipe in order to make sure it’s accessible and delicious for all who try it in their home kitchens.

If you have any questions, email us at community@jikoni.co

HOW TO WRITE A RECIPE

Step 1: Writing

  • Fill out the recipe template completely
  • Do this first, even if you plan on testing your recipe afterwards.
  • Try to use easily-accessible ingredients

Step 2: Testing

  • Prepare and measure all ingredients before cooking. Be sure to use the appropriate measuring tools (measuring cups, measuring spoons, food scale)
  • Use a stopwatch to monitor how long it takes for you to prepare your ingredients, and again to see how long to cook your dish. Most phones have an app for this.
  • Take photos along the way on your phone. No need to edit them, they’re for internal use only. This will help our team when we make your dish for its photo or video shoot.
  • Make notes of any changes and update your recipe document
  • Take a photo of the final dish in good lighting, by a window during the daytime is best.

Step 3: Submit via the submission form

  1. Completed recipe template
  2. Photos of key recipe steps and the final dish (mobile pics are fine)
